scul|pin «SKUHL pihn», noun.
1. any one of a family of small fishes with large pectoral fins, eyes near the top of a big, spiny head, and a wide mouth. Sculpins are found in salt and fresh water and are not considered edible by most people.
2. a scorpionfish or rockfish of the southern Californian coast.
